St John & St James Church, Orrell Hey, serves the Church of England parish that runs between the canal and the Sefton Borough boundary roughly from Aintree Road to Harris Drive & Park Lane.

The parish contains some 9,300 residents, and the vicar, Ricky Panter, curate, Mike Coates, and members of the church are available to give spiritual support and practical care to anyone who requests it.

We prepare people for and officiate at some 50 funerals a year, 15-20 baptisms and occasional weddings. We visit those who are sick or bereaved or in trouble - usually by request - and offer a variety of opportunities for worship, friendship and learning for all ages.
